SHAPING YOUR PUPPY'S FUTURE
From birth until go-home day, every Pink Bud puppy is raised inside our Nampa home with intentional care, daily handling and age-appropriate experiences. Our program supports healthy development, builds confidence and helps prepare each puppy for life with their new family.
Early Neurological Stimulation
Days 3-16
Five brief, gentle exercises performed once daily, including light touch between the toes and carefully holding the puppy in different positions. ENS introduces mild, age-appropriate stimulation during early neurological development. It does not replace normal cuddling and handling. American Kennel Club
Early Handling & Social Development
Weeks 1–4
Puppies receive gentle daily handling while bonding with their mother and littermates. As their eyes and ears open, they are gradually introduced to human touch, familiar voices, household activity, and safe new experiences.
Sensory Development
Starting Week 4
Beginning at four weeks old, puppies are gradually introduced to new sounds, surfaces, water and grooming experiences. They explore shallow warm water, walk across different textures, hear everyday noises and become comfortable with gentle handling of their paws, ears, mouth and tail.
Each experience is brief, supervised and introduced at the puppy’s individual comfort level, never forced.
Advanced Socialization
Weeks 5-8
Puppies experience new people, objects, environments and controlled interactions with healthy, puppy-safe adult dogs. They may also be introduced carefully to children, cats, car rides, crates and everyday household activities. Experiences should always be gradual and never forced. Early positive exposure is particularly important during a puppy’s first three months. AVSAB socialization guidance.
READY FOR HOME
By eight weeks, each puppy has experienced gentle handling, household sounds, different surfaces, grooming, crate introduction and positive interactions with people and animals. Our families also receive guidance to help continue this development at home.
